Live-edge concepts, storage and statement tables: a buyer’s shortlist

Choose the role of each piece, then confirm its specification before comparing quotations.

Start with the furniture family

A coordinated furniture collection does not need every piece to look identical. It needs a clear relationship between function, shape and finish. For furniture importers, retailers and interior project teams, today’s Ratna Exports shortlist offers three starting points: live-edge design concepts, an industrial storage family and four statement-table styles.

Use the selected product reference as the basis of an enquiry. A photograph can communicate appearance, but it cannot confirm dimensions, material, load capacity or availability. Ask for those details against the exact model you intend to buy.

Live-edge furniture: separate the concept from the specification

The live-edge family brings together four new design concepts: a dining table, matching bench, entrance console and coffee table. Natural-edge forms and dark metal bases connect dining, entrance and lounge spaces. These visuals are concepts for discussion, rather than photographs of finished stock.

For a custom furniture enquiry, choose the piece and explain where it will be used. Confirm the wood choice, overall dimensions, top thickness, edge treatment, base form and finish reference before quotation. If the bench and dining table will be used together, ask the manufacturer to review their dimensions as a set. Browse the dining-table collection and console collection for further references.

Industrial storage: compare layouts before finishes

The supplied industrial storage photographs show a sideboard, display shelving and media unit. Each offers a different storage layout. Decide first whether the brief calls for closed storage, open display, or a surface and compartments for media equipment.

For a sideboard, discuss the usable internal space and door or drawer arrangement. For shelving, ask about the intended items and the confirmed shelf dimensions. For a media unit, share equipment dimensions and any cable-management requirements. Request the selected model’s confirmed materials, dimensions and finish options; do not infer a wood species or performance rating from its appearance. Review the cabinet and sideboard references before sending your shortlist.

Statement tables: shape is one part of the decision

The table family includes rectangular, oval, round and half-round styles, shown through original product photographs. Compare the tabletop appearance, base form and overall design with the intended room and circulation space.

A half-round form may be considered for a wall-side position, while round or oval forms may suit a different layout. Confirm the actual dimensions and intended use for the chosen model before deciding. Hospitality buyers should describe the setting and daily use, then discuss suitability and any supporting product information directly. Explore the coffee and side-table collection for a focused comparison.

Build a quotation brief that can be answered

Send the selected product reference, destination city or country, quantity, preferred finish and buying or project timeline. Add required dimensions, layout drawings or a finish reference where available. Keep concept-development requests separate from enquiries for photographed catalogue products so the specification discussion stays clear.

Ask which details need confirmation before quotation, how samples will be reviewed, and which packing requirements apply to the selected design and destination. Price, production timing and commercial terms are confirmed with each enquiry.
